Tank filling procedure

To optimize volumetric calculations and thus make the most of SECURIFUEL technology, filling must follow certain specific steps.

  • After turning off the vehicle engine, wait 30 seconds before starting to fill the tank(s). This time-out allows the Keeper to detect that the vehicle has stopped.
  • Fill the tank in one go, then fill the second if available.
  • Once the tank(s) have been filled, wait 1 min 30 before restarting the vehicle, hang up the nozzle and take advantage of these few seconds to wipe the filling vent with a rag to avoid any clogging.
